Five days of flavour and festivity: What to do in Singapore from 12-17 March

From 12 to 17 March 2025, the Kita Food Festival Singapore Weekender is back with its most exciting lineup yet, featuring world-class chefs, innovative food experiences, and thought-provoking discussions. Whether you’re a food enthusiast, a cocktail lover, or someone who enjoys a lively social atmosphere, there’s something for you. Here’s what you shouldn’t miss over the next five days.

12-14 March: Dine with Michelin-starred chefs

One of the biggest draws of this year’s festival is the kitchen takeovers and collaborative dinners featuring renowned chefs from across the region. Highlights include:

  • Darren Teoh from Malaysia’s two Michelin-starred Dewakan, who will present a three-course menu at Conrad Singapore’s East47, paired with expertly crafted cocktails. Tickets are $168 nett per person
  • Syrco Bakker from Bali’s Syrco Base taking over the kitchen at 1880, promising an evening of exquisite flavours. Tickets are $188 nett per person.
  • Chef Keiko Kuwakino from Japan’s Satoyama Jujo showcasing her plant-forward, Ayurvedic-inspired creations at PO in The Warehouse Hotel. Tickets are $190 nett per person.​
  • Chef Chalee Kader from Bangkok’s Wana Yook, reimagining kao geng (rice curry) with a Thai feast at 67 Pall Mall, expertly paired with wine by head sommelier Roberto Duran. Tickets are $196 nett per person.​

15 March: Fire up your appetite at The Big Barbecue

Gather for an open-air grilling extravaganza featuring chefs from Singapore, Penang and Bangkok. Tickets are $88 nett per person, inclusive of six barbecue dishes. ​Look out for:

  • Ricardo Allen (Camp Caribbean, Singapore) serving nostalgic Caribbean comfort food.
  • Taiki Rattanapong (Homeburg, Bangkok), famous for his internet-viral burgers.
  • Waymann Cheong (Lucky Hole, Penang), winner of the Michelin Guide Young Chef Award.

16 March: Graze, groove, and feast under the sky

On 16 March, head to Kult Yard for Graze & Groove, a laid-back Sunday affair blending food, drinks, and music. Enjoy a Sunday afternoon blending Southeast Asian flavors, craft cocktails, and vinyl-spun beats. Food highlights include Kurt Sombero’s reimagined Filipino dishes and Lavi Taco’s Southeast Asian-inspired tacos. Entry is $2 per person, inclusive of an Asahi mini can, with food and drinks available on a pay-as-you-go basis.​

17 March: Engage in the Future of Food Symposium

For those curious about the future of dining and sustainability, the Future of Food Symposium on 17 March will feature thought leaders like:

  • Joxe Mari Aizega from the Basque Culinary Centre discussing the evolution of culinary education.
  • Helianti Hilam of JAVARA highlighting Indonesia’s forgotten gastronomic treasures.
